On this week’s episode, the Queen of Technicolor, a World War II hero, an iconic magician and a couple of musical legends get remembered in “Celebrity Deaths”. Dean and Phil will follow up on last week’s discussion of their favorite bookstores with a couple more favorites, including one New York landmark facing a crisis. Phil will ask Dean his thoughts about recent comments made by Chris Carter about Gillian Anderson that have not been sitting well with fans. Phil and Dean will also try to make sense of the spectacular (and spectacularly expensive) failure that was Quibi. All that, plus your friends in podcasting will be weighing in on season 3 of “Star Trek: Discovery”, HBO’s exploration of the NXIVM cult, “The Vow”, and Spike Lee’s joint of “David Byrne’s Utopia”.

From May 26 through 28, your friends in podcasting converged in Dallas for a Famous Monsters Convention. While there, they filmed interviews and footage for part 2 of their documentary The Truth Is Out There, AND they recorded an entire podcast with special guests Bruce Harwood and Tom Braidwood! It’s a reunion of The Lone Gunmen on YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour!

Dean and Phil traveled to Berlin for X-Con, a fan-run “X-Files” convention. While there, Dean performed one of his most hilarious improv comedy shows ever, mingled with fans, and took a tour of some of Berlin’s most historic, conspiracy-related sites, while Phil shot High Defintion footage of the entire trip for their documentary The Truth is Out There …

Oh, and they also managed to record this week’s show in front of a live audience from a hotel ballroom in the heart of downtown Berlin!

For the full hour, Dean and Phil answered questions from the audience members, who themselves came from as diverse an array of countries as Norway, Holland, the UK, Chile and, of course, Germany.

Unfortunately, due to a blown mixing board, the audio suffers from a bit of an echo and some of the audience questions are a bit tough to hear.

Still, you won’t want to miss it because this show is top notch, as it always is when we get feedback and questions from our listeners. That’s what we mean when we say that it is YOUR Chillpak Hollywood Hour!
